Xing-Yu CHEN, Fang-Yi LI

Chen Xing-Yu, the owner of hsing, is the second generation of a farmer in Shitan Xian-Shan and established hsing with partner Li Fang-Yi six years ago after returning home. The Chinese mesona used in the store is a non-genetically modified local variety grown by local farmers in Shitan. Chen grew up in Xian-Shan, Shitan and hopes visitors can feel the serenity and ease of living in the mountains through experience and cuisine. Chen also hopes that with the establishment of the new brand, the 60-year legacy of her grandmother cooking Chinese mesona, which is passed down to her father and then to her, can be injected with warmth and vitality.
