Mei-Xi LIU
Liu Mei-Xi, the founder of Chun-Jiao Rice Noodles, learned her cooking skills from her mother, Chen Chun-Jiao. Liu hopes Chun-Jiao Rice Noodles can be a place where traditional Hakka flavors can be preserved and for young people to experiment with new ideas. Liu is also a behind-the-scenes advocate of local cultural education and has established the Beipu Children Cultural and Educational Association, which is dedicated to guiding children and parents to learn more about the cultural industry of their homeland and to further protect their home. To change the stereotypes of how the children of Beipu view ban noodles and traditional food stands, Liu deliberately asked local artisans to build the architecture with polished cement, resulting in a building that exudes serenity while opening a new chapter for Hakka restaurants.
