In contemporary life where diverse ethnic groups coexist, how do we understand our own and other cultures? Through sound improvisation and recording, Bridging reveals a space of storytelling, and leads the public to understand three communities in Nanzhuang in terms of their identity, interaction, and symbiosis in relation to group and culture as well as life and legacy.
CREATORS
Sayun CHANG

Percussionist and music composer Sayun CHANG holds an MA in Music from the Hartt School, USA. Zealous for contemporary music, world music, improvisation and interdisciplinary collaboration, Chang is also dedicated to music outreach for schools in remote areas. In 2017, she was selected into the “OneBeat” program, a music exchange program funded by the US Department of State. In 2022, she was invited again to participate in “OneBeat X” for celebrating the 10th anniversary of the exchange program. In recent years, she has designed the music for various works, including Yu Liu’s If Narratives Become The Great Flood (2020), Erlug Art Corner’s Hagay Dreaming, etc.
