Camphor branches in various lengths are gathered and assembled into a large camphor loop, which symbolizes the past prosperity of camphor industry in Shihtang, from where camphor was exported to different corners of the world and again returned to Taiwan, forming a loop economy. Meanwhile, the loop is also a symbol of a time portal that connects the present and the future.
